Collecting the Hashira is the most common Demon Slayer shelf goal and the one most likely to stall halfway. The reason is not scarcity in the usual sense — it is that the nine Pillars are not released evenly. Some of them exist in four or five different figure lines at four or five different prices, and some of them exist in exactly one. That single fact decides what your set costs, and almost nobody tells you before you have already bought the cheap ones.

So here is the honest version, from our own shelf. All nine Hashira are available here right now, and the cheapest way to own every one of them comes to $473.79. But $299.98 of that is just two characters — Giyu and Muichiro — which means those two cost more than the other seven Pillars combined ($173.81). Add those nine and you get $473.79. Notice the shape of that list: three Hashira cost under $12, four sit in the $34.99–$36.99 prize-figure band, and two cost more than a hundred dollars each.

Why Two Hashira Cost More Than the Other Seven Combined

Giyu and Muichiro are not more expensive because they are rarer characters. They are more expensive because, in our catalogue, the only line that has made them is BUZZmod. — a 1/12 scale articulated action-figure line, not a prize figure. You are not paying a Giyu tax; you are paying the price of the only format he exists in here.

It is worth knowing what that money buys, because BUZZmod. is genuinely a different product class. The Giyu figure ships with three interchangeable faces — a standard sorrowful expression, a closed-eye face and a roaring face — and his haori is real cloth with wire running from the collar to the outer edge, so you can set the fabric into a pose instead of accepting a sculpted drape. The Muichiro figure has five faces, a fabric hakama, and double-jointed knees hidden under the clothing — a change the line made specifically so poses do not need extra swap parts.

That is a fair explanation of the price. It is not a reason to start there. If your goal is all nine on a shelf, buy the seven affordable Pillars first and treat Giyu and Muichiro as the two deliberate purchases at the end — because those two alone are 63% of the set.

The Three Tiers You Are Actually Choosing Between

Every Hashira figure here falls into one of three tiers, and the tier matters more than the character.

Funko Pop!, roughly $5.95–$11.95. Stylised vinyl at around 3¾ inches, window box, EcoTek Protector included. Consistent shelf look, cheapest possible route, no articulation and no likeness detail. Prize and premium prize figures, roughly $34.99–$36.99. Banpresto x Bandai and SEGA lines, PVC or PVC and ABS, typically 5.5 to 7 inches, painted and non-articulated. This is where four of the nine live, and honestly it is the best value in the set — a 7-inch Sanemi for $36.99 is a lot of figure. Collector grade, roughly $114.99–$179.99. BUZZmod. articulated figures and Kotobukiya Artfx J statues. For Giyu and Muichiro this tier is mandatory. For everyone else it is an upgrade you choose.

Where the Set Gets Expensive, and Where It Does Not

If you want a display-piece version of a Hashira you already own cheaply, these are the real upgrade paths in our catalogue. Rengoku BUZZmod. Ver.2 is $114.99 and carries the moveable-fabric haori the line added after fan feedback on the first version; the Artfx J Rengoku statue is $179.99. Tengen BUZZmod. is $159.99 and was deliberately sculpted larger than the rest of the line to capture his height, with four facial expressions. Shinobu Artfx J 1/8 scale is $164.99, gripping her Nichirin blade on a base with a floating butterfly motif.

The one genuine mid-tier alternative worth naming: the SEGA Premium Perching Obanai at $36.99, a non-articulated painted figure just under 6 inches, sculpted mid-onigiri. Perching figures sit on a shelf edge rather than standing on a base, which is a real consideration if your display is a bookshelf rather than a cabinet.

The gap is the metallic chase variant's scarcity, which is a real thing in the Funko market and not a saving. If you just want Tengen on the shelf to complete the nine, buy the $5.95 single.

That threshold interacts with this set in an obvious way: the three Funko-tier Hashira together come to $29.85 and will not clear it, while a single BUZZmod. figure clears it on its own. If you are buying the affordable seven, buying them in one order rather than three is the difference. Returns run 30 days from receiving your item. The item must be in the same condition you received it, unworn and unused, with tags and in its original packaging, plus your receipt or proof of purchase.
