The practical rule for a family order is therefore simple: ignore the letters, measure everyone's height, and buy from the range their height lands in. The handover point is 160 cm — a child at 155 cm takes the kids 2XL, a teenager at 165 cm takes the adult S. If someone in your family is right on that line, buy the adult XS: an adult costume slightly loose on a tall teenager photographs far better than a kids 2XL that is short in the leg.
